The first look of the mail makes any one prey to it. But this is a sheer scam. Still thinking why ? Below is the answer…

  1. The sender’s email id is wrdfgtr1@att.net
  2. A quick Google search for “ATT.NET” would reveal that it is an AT&T owned domain which is a telecom giant in US. If you are technology savvy internet user use WHOIS query to find out owner of ATT.NET.
  3. It only means that some guy or small group of individuals is/are trying to run this racket.
  4. Microsoft being such a huge software giant would definite use its own domain (e.g. Microsoft.com, msn.com, live.com or even hotmail.com in worse case).
  5. The mail is sent to several undisclosed recipient's in BCC with identical ref. no. Though the batch no. could be same reference no has to be unique which is not the case.

In nutshell it is a junk mail and should be deleted. I appreciate your curiosity if you are reading this page.

I hope this post was informative to you and thank you for reading.
