Installing Windows 7 or upgrading Windows XP or Windows Vista could be a breeze for an expert IT administrator. However, if you are not an administrator who is involved in operating system installation or OS installation than it may be a good advice to have the necessary preparations done in advance. Preparing for the Windows 7 Installation could save you time and while at the same time help you stave off unpredicted challenges or problems during Windows 7 OS installation:

• Find your product key. The first thing that you should be keeping handy is Windows 7 Product Key for OS Installation . Finding the OS product key is as easy as locating the Windows product key on your computer or laptop. • Update Antivirus Program: Scan your computer and data after updating your Antivirus program. After the scan is over disable the antivirus program to ensure it does not interfere with your upgrade process. This is not applicable if you are installing the OS on a new computer as you can simply format your disk and proceed.  

• Connect to the Internet. Lastly you may need to connect to Internet in order to download the latest driver updates, security updates, or installation updates as applicable. However, Windows 7 installation does not mandate an Internet connection.
